GiG Games Projects

Worked as an Animation Rigger, mainly creating 2d & 3d rigs for animators to produce high-quality animations while working with the other artists to create stunning assets while meeting technical needs.

Also, provided constructive art/technical feedback both internal & external companies to meet the desired result for the projects.

Xtreme Robot Destruction (XRD)

Is a 'battle bots' style game. Worked within a small team where my role as a Character TD / Rigger created all the animation tools both for artist and physics-based for the programmers, set up the pipeline and structure alongside the technical artist while managing part of the art team and reviewing as the project progressed.

Also jumped on areas as needed assisting with modelling and texturing

Small Projects

Paddle Panic

Is a 'Crash Bash Ballistix' style battle game, where myself and another technical artist worked together to create our own small project in Unreal Engine

Is a personal project that was designed & created by myself and a technical artist within Unreal Engine 4.

 

We wanted to test our skills and do something quick and creative within 3 working weeks, I was responsible for creating the 3d models, rigs, animations and implement them into Unreal with animation blueprints.

Boss Fighter

Is a 2d platformer where you must overcome the massive, vicious robot creatures! Build for Android.

My role as an Art Lead helped; develop and refine the art style, asset creation, rigging & animation, art team coordination.  The project was run as an adaptive/agile project and I performed a key role in interrupting stakeholder input and working with the art team to make production decisions through the development.

Astral Switch

Is a 3d platformer where you are set out to collect all the sacred scrolls, but beware others may want the scrolls for themselves.

Process

Jumped onto this project giving feedback on the art, working on the VFX and creating pickups, while creating this and adapting to a new art style (Steven Universe)
